Share each Friday, on your own blog, one photo…or maybe even a gallery of some of your favorite photos that you have taken during the week, that make you smile or that was a great photo capturing opportunity…anything really! And as photographers are often known to say, “The best camera is, the one that you have with you!”
Whether you are a pro-photographer or just venturing into photography…or maybe you are like me and just whip out your cell phone when you are going about your day…take those photos and share them! Feel free to add any camera info and shooting info that you may have on your photos as well.
Don’t forget to link back (pingback) here and add a #FavFotoFriday tag so that I can enjoy all your Favorite Fotos too!
This week’s edition of Fav Foto Friday are some photos from Thanksgiving day. With the passing of my Mom almost a month ago (will be a month tomorrow), Thanksgiving this year was a little tough. Not that I am not thankful or grateful for all I have, but Mom had always been a huge part of all our holidays growing up and even as adults. I have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner for many years but not without a phone call (or five) to Mom every year with some quick question or reminder about how to do something or just to wish her a happy Thanksgiving. This year when those questions came up I was heartbroken all over again and ended up crying through the preparation of the rest of the meal…veggies à la tears were the featured dinner items this year.
Despite the lack of advice from Mom needed to cook the meal this year, it seems that dinner was a success, as compliments were given and tummies were full. I am grateful to have had a beautiful, golden browned turkey, with all the fixin’s, whose aroma filled the house all morning. I am grateful for little ones who manage to enjoy the day with the simple pleasure of playing silly games with family members. I am grateful for having a home filled with family and friends and the beauty of flowers to decorate and make for a pleasant home environment. And I am grateful to have all my critters who provide me with so much enjoyment and love.
This year’s holidays may not be the happiest occasions per se, but I am grateful for the many things in my life…family, friends, love, support, animals, and all the things that make life good.
I hope everyone has enjoyed a blessed Thanksgiving this year!

Hi! I’ve been participating in your challenge for a few weeks now. I pingback to you and use the tag, but as I haven’t heard from you, I suppose I just want to check that you are receiving the pingbacks.
All the best,
L
Hi Elle! Thanks for participating in Fav Foto Friday! As far as I know this is the first time I’ve gotten anything from you. I’m on my phone right now so I will check better from my computer later today when I am home. I also just lost my mom a month ago yesterday so I haven’t been entirely active with my blog lately.
