Fav Foto Friday #32

Fav Foto Friday is an opportunity to share each Friday, on your own blog, one photo…or maybe even a gallery of some of your favorite photos that you have taken during the week, that make you smile or that was a great photo capturing opportunity…anything really!  And as photographers are often known to say, “The best camera is, the one that you have with you!”

Whether you are a pro-photographer or just venturing into photography…or maybe you are like me and just whip out your cell phone when you are going about your day…take those photos and share them! Feel free to add any camera info and shooting info that you may have on your photos as well.

This week’s edition of Fav Foto Friday theme is the ‘power of mother nature.’ Last week we had a pretty big rain and wind storm during the night. Other than a bunch of twigs littering our driveway and the fact that the river behind our house was pretty high and rushing I didn’t really think much of it.

Later that day though as I was driving to my pet sitting client’s houses a number of times I ended up having to turn around and find a different route as there was yet another detour due to trees down. On my way back from my last client for the afternoon I drove by this tree which just sort of caught me by surprise as I drove past it and the root base was taller than my car! I couldn’t resist turning around one more time and coming back for some pics for Fav Foto Friday.

It is sort of amazing and sad and awe inspiring all at once when seeing a massive tree just knocked over by the power of a wind storm.
