Assignment #10 (oh my goodness…am I finally caught up with my class assignments for Writing 101?!?!?) of Writing 101 of Blogging University is to write an update post in the form of a virtual coffee date.
If we were having coffee right now…I may have to admit that I am not very good at doing the whole ‘coffee thing’ seeing how I am an introvert and that when doing the ‘coffee thing’ I tend to do a lot of listening and ‘smiling and nodding’ cause as usual the cat probably has my tongue.
If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you about the wedding we just attended at our church. A very sweet and loving young woman who has grown up in our church family. And how storybook sweet their wedding was because the two of them have grown up as childhood friends!! It was so nice to witness this wedding and be a part of the their story.
If we were having coffee right now…I might admit that all though I love weddings, there is a small part of me that gets a little selfish and sad because I will probably never get a chance to share these types of moments in my life.
If we were having coffee right now…I would probably tell you a little bit about these 2 blogging courses that I am taking, Writing 101 and Blogging 201, and how they have been so much fun and that I am learning lots…despite them not being ‘real’ courses…they are learning opportunity anyway! And I am enjoying them immensely!
If we were having coffee right now…I just might tell you that I have a little ‘party in my pocket’ going on as we sit and sip coffee and chat…and then proceed to show you my 2 newest additions to my little menagerie. My little sugar glider babies have been so much fun to bond with and I love getting to take them with me to such occasions, as a little outing with a friend for coffee.
If we were having coffee right now…I would probably have to show you the latest cute pics that my sister sent me of my niece and nephew and do a little auntie bragging.
If we were having coffee right now…I am pretty sure I would tell you about how much I am enjoying the fall like weather. I love the crisp mornings and cool evenings. And today I am especially enjoying the smell of burning wood…maybe a fireplace going…in the air. I love fall!
And if we were having coffee right now…I would tell you how great it has been to spend this time together chatting and I would ask you (if I was able to overcome my shyness) about how your life is going? How was your summer? Are you enjoying the change in seasons? And what are you looking forward to in the coming weeks or months?
It has been so much fun being able to have this virtual coffee date with you all and we just may have to do this catching up over coffee more often!
I understand completely about the introvert thing because I’m the same way. Having said that, I feel “in my element” at my local café because I spend so much time there, writing. I’m also better with one-on-one chats, the exception being the monthly get-togethers with my former classmates. I don’t mind being part of a crowd then because I know everyone already and I just like the whole atmosphere of sharing and nostalgia.
Thanks for sharing. Great post! 🙂
Kind Regards,
Carol
