Today’s post is in response to Assignment #15 in Writing 101 of Blogging University. The assignment is to Take a Cue from your Readers. One of the results from my poll that I posted earlier in the course was for more knitting posts.
With the change in season from summer to fall and as soon as the days started to get cooler, suddenly my knitting muse returned!
I really love to knit but during the dog days of summer when I am just trying to do anything that will keep me from sweating, my knitting muse disappears and isn’t seen or s heard from again til the temperatures drop into at least the 60s and 70s.
While I haven’t wanted to actually knit, that doesn’t mean my head wasn’t thinking about knitting and knowing that I wanted to make something from my friend’s daughter who is due to have her baby in November. So as soon as the urge to knit hit, I did a little stash diving and came up with a bunch of pink and white cotton that I knew I had in my stash for quite sometime. Originally thought I would make some little wash clothes and then give her some of my handmade soap as well.
However, while I have been knitting, I have continued to think about what I wanted to make and I think I will turn the squares into a blanket. Not really sure how yet…but I am sure it will reveal it self as I continue.
I am also pretty happy to see that I didn’t somehow forget how to knit over the last few months without knitting!
My progress so far…and proof that I have not forgotten how to knit …
